In the early days..

After releasing two extended EP’s (The Colourful EP 2009 & Postcards from Paris 2010) a band comprising Dave Curry (drums), Jon Tyler (guitar) and Steve Tonge (bass) were recruited for live performances. The new album was recorded in Glasgow at Chem19 and Gargleblast studios with engineer/producer Mr Andy Miller (Life Without Buildings, The Fratellis, My Latest Novel, Sons and Daughters, Mogwai) The self-titled debut album features solo acoustic songs as well as full band arrangement thanks to contributions from the talented ensemble of friends and wonderful people known as The Colourful Band, most notably drummers Dave Steele and Fraser Stewart.
To date, one of the songs ‘Stars’ was featured in the soundtrack to ‘Lip Service’, the controversial BBC TV lesbian drama which was broadcast in 2011/2012.

BBC Radio 2 as well as local radio in Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stoke, Yorkshire have given airplay to tracks from the album, reviews have been positive and TCB have played live in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Newcastle, and Aberdeen with more shows planned soon.
